I took a private boat trip to Nusa Penida today, and it was a truly great day. From the moment we left Serangan port, everything went smoothly.
The boat was in fantastic condition, and the crew's attention to detail was obvious. The snorkeling spots were beautiful, not at all crowded, and offered some incredible sights. Swimming with giant manta rays and beautiful sea turtles was a definite highlight. The whole crew was very nice and I loved our guide, Bodi. He is a true professional, so friendly and genuinely cared about my experience, offering great tips and ensuring I was comfortable the entire time. If you want a personalized and perfect boat day, ask for Bodi.

The guide was patient and, although I couldn't swim, he took me with him in a life preserver. so I didn't miss the beautiful view of the snorkel.
Also help take photos at various card issuing points.

Fantastic day and organisation
**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) - Fantastic day, but be warned about seasickness and the return trip**
The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. The equipment (snorkeling gear, towels, cooler box) was provided and of good quality. The highlight was, without a doubt, swimming with the manta rays – a magical and unforgettable experience.
**⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING:**
**Beware of seasickness!** The crossing can be **very rough** and many people in our group (even those not usually prone to it) got sick. This can really ruin your day. **Fortunately, the crew generously provides free medication.** Take it **before you set off**, don't wait until you feel nauseous!
**The other downsides:**
* **The Kelingking Beach stop:** This attraction requires a **2-hour round trip** on winding roads (which can also be nauseating!) for a very short photo stop in a dense crowd. **Suggestion:** These precious 2 hours would be better reallocated to an **extended snorkeling session**.
* **Return from Serangan port:** Ride-hailing apps (**Grab, Gojek**) are **blocked**. The agency itself offers a transfer... but at **triple the price** of a normal Grab fare. Be prepared for this unpleasant surprise.
**Verdict:** An **incredible** excursion if you take precautions against seasickness. The Kelingking stop and the return trip are the only black spots in an otherwise impeccable organization.

Fantastic snorkelling trip!
We booked a private tour, 2 adults and 2 children aged 12 & 13. We had an absolutely wonderful time on our snorkeling trip with our guide, Nemo.
Nemo was so enthusiastic and he was just as excited as we were when we spotted manta rays and turtles. From start to finish, we felt completely safe and well looked after—Nemo and his crew are a real credit to the team.
Our private tour on the Little Star boat was a fantastic experience. Fresh water and fruit were provided, and we loved exploring the different snorkeling points. Nemo explained the itinerary clearly before we set out and gave us complete flexibility to spend more time where we wished or move on when we were ready.
We stopped in Nusa Penida at a great beach restaurant for lunch which was included in our package.
It was a memorable and enjoyable trip, and we would highly recommend a private boat tour to allow complete flexibility and personalised experience.
